The Annual Urban Cookhouse Farmer’s Markets to Open in May

Market 1PRESS RELEASE-Birmingham restaurant Urban Cookhouse is gearing up for the opening of their 2015 annual farmer’s markets in Homewood and at The Summit. The Homewood market kicks off Saturday, May 30 from 8 am – 12 pm and will run every Saturday through August 15 with the exception of July 4. The Summit market begins on Thursday evening, May 28 from 3 – 7 pm and runs weekly through August 13.With the addition of picnic tables and umbrellas this year for market customers to enjoy, Urban Cookhouse is standing by their motto: Buy Local, Eat Urban! The Homewood market is incorporating a farm egg breakfast burrito with fruit and strawberry lemonade as a breakfast option and guests of The Summit market will now have the option of a delicious sandwich, fruit and strawberry lemonade as a snack or light dinner.market 7“Every year we like to improve the market in some way and we want this year to be more of a family friendly event where we bring local vendors together and create a strong sense of community, “Urban Cookhouse owner, Andrea Snyder said.Other new additions to this year’s markets include kid’s activities and live music.
