78 Magazine and Carl Cannon Chevrolet to Host Third Thursday

Jasper, AL - What do you get when you combine brand-spanking new Chevrolets, hot dogs, and the finest array of antique vehicles this county has ever seen? A big ol’ crowd and real good time!After two successful Third Thursday events at Elizabeth Garner Interiors and Bernard’s Store For Men, 78 Magazine will host the next installment of Third Thursday at Carl Cannon Chevrolet on July 21 from 4:00 -7:00 PM.The goal of the bi-monthly event, 78 Magazine owner Al Blanton says, is to support local businesses. Blanton’s idea was to create an after-hours networking and social gathering for business professionals. The events are casual, and guests are welcome to come-and-go as they please.The Carl Cannon Third Thursday event will feature an antique car show held by the Central Alabama Rodders Society (CARS), a local nonprofit that restores and preserves automobiles. Carl Cannon Chevrolet will also have a selection of new Chevrolets on display and a salesperson ready to help with each automobile.The Carl Cannon staff will grill hot dogs and provide ice-cold beverages for guests, Son’s Smokehouse will furnish their freshly-smoked wings, and Michelle’s Bakery will provide scrumptious desserts. Carl Cannon General Manager Tommy Fowler says, “We expect to bring in around 200 guests to this event. We’ve been doing things like this for a long time.
