78 Magazine and Capstone Rural Health To Host Third Thursday

Jasper, AL – In a cozy corner on 12^th Street and 8^th Avenue in downtown Jasper, Capstone Rural Health’s Capstone Cottage sits awaiting to serve the needs of Walker County. On Thursday, June 15 from 5:00-7:00 PM, Capstone Rural Health and 78 Magazine will be co-hosting Third Thursday.Capstone Rural Health was founded in 2001. Since then, they have worked endlessly to provide the Walker County community with affordable healthcare through three office locations: Capstone Parrish, Capstone Nauvoo, and Capstone Cottage. Capstone, as a whole, provides primary care services that treat illness, promote and maintain health, and manage chronic diseases– often all during the same visit.The services offered by Capstone Rural Health are endless. The broader categories include: primary care, women’s health, men’s health, pediatric health, prevention and screening, behavioral health, and pharmacy. Capstone also provides transportation to medical appointments and translation services as needed. Capstone Rural Health is deeply rooted into the communities in which they serve. Their outreach efforts are geared toward nourishing and enriching the quality of life in Walker County.The goal of the upcoming Third Thursday event is to educate the community on the mission and services available at Capstone. Although Capstone Cottage will be hosting the event, staff from all three of Capstone’s locations will be in attendance. Michelle’s Bakery, Café, and Coffee Shop will provide light snacks and desserts, while Son’s Smokehouse will have freshly smoked wings.
