The Walker County Home Builders Association is a professional association comprised of  professionals in construction and related industries, working together to improve the quality of life in our local community.The WCHBA is an affiliate of Home Builders Association of Alabama in Montgomery, AL, and the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C.By becoming a member, an individual will join approximately 70 local members whose combined efforts have earned an outstanding reputation in the community.An important part of the WCHBA is their service focus. The purpose of this effort is “to promote an awareness in the industry and to improve the lives of those less fortunate through education, voluntarism, and financial support.” The Association works to accomplish this by awarding scholarships and donating to individuals or groups and by assisting in worthwhile projects/events such as Habitat for Humanity.With mortgage rates down and construction materials at favorable costs, this is a great time to build, buy, or remodel a home.Members of the Walker County Home Builders Association are standing by to help with your purchase or remodel. 78The Walker County Home Builders meet on the first Thursday night of each month.
