Soul of 78- Lutis Moore

“When I first got here in 2007, I was teaching technology education to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I eventually served as vice principal at what used to be Maddox Middle School, and last year became principal.”

“My favorite part of this job, easily, is the kids. I love their personalities; I love this age group. A lot of folks, when I tell them what I do they’ll say, ‘Oh you got a hard group.’ And I say, nah, they’re just kids. I see them at their best, I see them at their worst. I’m not here to judge, I’m here to help them out any way I can.”

“I think about when I was a kid in school...I’m trying to be the person that I didn’t have in school. I try to be the person that I want my kids to have when they’re in school. I just try to make it fun for everybody, and at the end of the day, still get the job done. It’s awesome to be here and see these kids grow.”
