A Walk Through Time- Speedy Lunch

You may recognize the location in this 1938 photo if you’re familiar with downtown Jasper. Speedy's Lunch was located at 119 West 19th Street on the corner of 2nd Avenue, and was owned by Cain O'Rear. Western Union Telegram can be seen further down the street.Speedy’s Lunch was started by B.B. Speed, and later sold to Frank Gunter. In the 1970s-1980s, this spot became the location for David Lee’s, a department store, and later Elegante’ Bakery. 78
