A Walk Through Time- People's Hospital

People’s Hospital was located at Birmingham Ave. and 19th St. in Jasper. The building project was started in 1934 by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA and completed by the Works Project Administration in 1936, with aid from President Roosevelt’s New Deal, and support from Dr. Roy Hare. 
In 1964-65, the building was renovated at a cost of $421,000. It has since been demolished. The site is now the location of the Jasper Civic Center.
