Huntingdon College, through a partnership with Bevill State Community College, is offering accelerated business courses designed to help returning learners complete their four-year degrees.

Huntingdon's Evening Bachelor’s Degree Program offers weekly classes on the Jasper campus in Business Management or Business Management with a Healthcare Concentration. Courses are offered one night a week for five weeks, with three five-week sessions per semester. Enrollment in three courses per semester is considered a full undergraduate course load. Earned credits are transferable to more than 4,600 colleges and universities in the United States. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

Anna Sizemore, site coordinator in Jasper for Huntingdon College, says the program’s flexibility makes it much easier for working professionals to earn their degree. “We have classes from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. once a week for five weeks,” Sizemore says. “It's a way to continue your adult education without having to go to Birmingham at 8 a.m. or take a day off.”

Sizemore says she loves to see students who may have left college years ago complete their degrees. “It's really heartwarming to see them come in and say, ‘I just have two or three classes left and then I'm done. I left college and never thought I'd finish,’” she says.

Founded in 1854, Huntingdon College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) and is regularly featured on U.S. News and World Report’s annual list of “America’s Best Colleges.” Huntingdon's main campus is located in Montgomery, Alabama. 78
