Milo’s Hamburgers Launches Sauce Campaign During Holiday Season

Alabama’s favorite burger chain offers a “little something extra” by bottling its famous sauces for its loyal customers

To kick off the holiday season, Milo’s is selling bottles of its three most popular sauces – Milo’s signature sauce, Double-O sauce and honey mustard – for $5 across its 22-store footprint and its roaming Burger Bus. For every bottle sold, $2 will be donated to Better Basics, a local nonprofit with the mission to advance children’s literacy in Central Alabama.

In addition to purchasing bottles of sauce at Milo’s store locations and the Burger Bus, customers can ship bottles to their loved ones through Milo’s partnership with Nourish Foods, a Birmingham-based food delivery company. Each box will come with select recipes incorporating Milo’s famous sauce. The sauce campaign kicked off November 15 and will extend through the end of the year or until supplies last.

“We are excited to offer a ‘little something extra’ to our loyal customers, near and far, throughout the holiday season,” said Marketing Director Mary Duncan Proctor. “Through our sauce campaign, we chose to partner with Better Basics and support the incredible work they are doing within our local communities. Their mission perfectly aligns with the goals of Milo’s Little Something Extra Foundation – create opportunities for our youth by empowering them through education and leadership development.”

Founded 28 years ago, Better Basics serves as one of the state’s only children’s literacy nonprofits. The organization offers literacy intervention and enrichment programs, supporting children from birth to 12th grade across Central Alabama.

Milo’s supports its communities year-round by offering a variety of school-based outreach programs including Student of the Month, Milo’s Art, Milo’s Math, Milo’s Civics and Points for Purpose. Last November, Milo’s launched a similar sauce campaign during the holiday season, raising more than $25,000 to support No Kid Hungry.

Throughout 2021, Milo’s has proudly celebrated its 75th anniversary with its loyal customers and communities, reflecting on its rich history as an authentic local hamburger shop and Alabama staple. On April 16, Milo’s kicked off its 75th anniversary celebration by offering its original burger for only 75 cents at all stores. Milo’s also recently launched its loyalty program, giving its top 3,000 customers 75 points (or the equivalent to one original burger).
