78 Featured Athletes – Addyson Russell and Tyler Ingle – Sumiton Christian

There’s no shortage of talent on the eastern side of the Warrior River. Meet Addyson Russell and Tyler Ingle, student-athletes at Sumiton Christian School and this week’s featured athletes.

These two-sport athletes, both rising seniors in the fall of 2021, excel in the classroom as well, carrying a 4.0 GPA as they look forward to the concluding semesters of their high school career.

Here’s a little more about Addyson and Tyler:

Addyson Russell

The daughter of Crystal and Adam Russell, Addyson plays volleyball and cheers at SCS. Starring for coach Kara Cashatt on the volleyball team, Addyson plays middle hitter and back row for the Eagles. Her cheer coach is Dixie Owens, who also owns ACE cheer in Jasper.

Addyson participates in other school activities as well. She is an Eagle Ambassador, is involved in SGA and Beta Club, and is a member of National Honor Society.

After graduation in May 2022, she plans to follow in the footsteps of her parents and attend Troy University, where she will pursue a teaching degree.

Tyler Ingle

If you’re looking for an all-around success story at SCS this year, look no further than Tyler Ingle. Tyler plays pitcher and third base for head baseball coach Lance Blair and middle linebacker for head football coach David Powell.

Tyler says his favorite subject is math and he is also involved in class activities such as Eagle Ambassadors, SGA, and Beta Club. Like Addyson, Tyler is a member of the National Honor Society.

He is the son of Patrick and Angel Ingle.

Please congratulate these exceptional student athletes on their all-around success and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors! 78
