78 Featured Athletes: Jayden McDavid and Ja’Kiyah Womack – Dora High

This week’s 78 Featured Athletes spotlight includes a pair of talented student-athletes at Dora High School, Jayden McDavid and Ja’Kiyah Womack.

Ja’Kiyah Womack 

A rising senior in the fall of ’22, Ja’Kiyah plays 3 sports at Dora High School: volleyball, softball, and basketball. On the volleyball team, she stars at middle blocker; on the basketball team, she plays forward/post; and on the softball team she plays outfield. This year, Ja’Kiyah will be coached by Kimber Sanford (volleyball), Justin Blevins (basketball), and Teresa Bradford (softball). 

Ja’Kiyah is an outstanding student as well. She carries a 3.65 grade point average and is involved in the Beta Club. Her favorite subject is math and after graduation in May of 2022, she plans on playing college basketball and becoming a physical therapist. 

Ja’Kiyah is the daughter of Jacqeline Womack.

Jayden McDavid

You can expect great things on the court and field from Jayden McDavid this upcoming season. A three-sport athlete, Jayden will star for DHS football coach Chavis Williams, basketball coach Michael Bridges, and track coach Hannah Nesmith. Jayden plays linebacker and tight end for the Bulldogs and anchors the center position for the basketball team. 

A stellar student in the classroom, Jayden carries a 3.95 G.P.A. and loves to study history. 

His aunt is Amanda Gardner and his uncle is Blake Land. 

After graduation next May, Jayden plans on playing college football.
