78 Featured Athletes: Lizabeth Barnett and Brodie Naramore – Curry High
This week the 78 train stopped at Curry High School, where we met Lizabeth Barnett and Brodie Naramore, our 78 Featured Athletes for the week of July 19!
Let’s find out a little more about these exceptional scholar-athletes:
Lizabeth Barnett
Can you say Best All-Around? Rising Senior Lizabeth Barnett excels in both the classroom and on the courts at Curry High School. She has a 4.0 G.P.A. in school and says that her favorite subject is math. She’s also involved in FFA, Beta Club, SGA, FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, and the National Honor Society.
A two-sport athlete, Lizabeth plays basketball and volleyball for the Yellow Jackets. She is in coached in basketball by BJ Baker and in volleyball by Saige Beaty.
She is the daughter of Jake and Michell Barnett and says her future plans are to attend Bevill State Community College and later obtain a degree in education.
Brodie Naramore
A senior to watch this year is Brodie Naramore, a two-sport athlete at Curry who carries a 3.8 G.P.A. in the classroom. Brodie will play centerfield for head baseball coach Brandon Thomas and small forward for head basketball coach Jason Johnsey.
His school activities include Beta Club as well as National Honor Society, and he says his favorite subject is history.
After graduating in May 2022, Brodie has plans to attend Wallace State Community College to become a radiology tech.
He is the son of Brad and Leanna Naramore.
