78 Featured Athletes – Brenna Hollis and Ronald Waldrop – Dora High School

Look for Brenna Hollis and Ronald Waldrop this fall, as the Dora Bulldog football team takes the field under a new head coach. They are also our 78 Featured Athletes for the Week of August 9!

Brenna Hollis

Brenna is a cheerleader at Dora under head coach Katie Carden. She’s also an exceptional student in the classroom, carrying a 4.0 G.PA, and is involved in the Beta Club. She says her favorite subject is science, and after graduation in May 2022, she plans to go to college to become a labor and delivery nurse. She is the daughter of John and Jamie Hollis.

Says Dora Principal Paige Abner, “Brenna has always been a leader. We appreciate her hard work and dedication and know that she has a bright future ahead.”

Ronald Waldrop

Making A’s in the classroom and preventing opposing running backs from finding the goal line will be two of Ronald Waldrop’s objectives this fall. A three-sport athlete at Dora, Ronald plays football and basketball for the Bulldogs and runs track as well. This outside linebacker has plans to one day play college football and major in business, and his 3.7 G.P.A. in the classroom, combined with his athletic skills on the field, certainly has him moving in that direction.

“Ronald has matured into ‘one to watch’ as we begin our football season,” says Abner. “He has a wonderful future, and we wish him well.”

Ronald is the son of Lisa Waldrop and is coached by Chavis Williams (football), Michael Bridges (basketball) and Hannah Nesmith (Track).

Please congratulate these two exceptional students for being our 78 Featured Athletes! 78
