Integrity Air

Randy Jones doesn’t have to consult a dictionary to define “integrity.” He lives it every day. It’s ingrained in his DNA. He even included it in the name of his business—Integrity Air. 

Randy grew up on an 80-acre farm in Curry, raising cotton, corn, chickens, and cattle. 

After graduating from high school in 1973, he worked for his dad’s contracting business for several years.

In 1980, Randy began working for the Jasper Police Department. Although he enjoyed it, he missed spending time with his young children. 

A few years later, he got into the air conditioning business. After several years in the business, he decided to forge his own path. With the addition of Integrity Vice-President Anthony Summerlin (also pictured above), Randy opened the doors of Integrity Air in January 2005.

Integrity provides residential and commercial installation/service in Walker County, Winston County, and parts of Cullman County. Unlike most HVAC companies, they do their own duct fabrication. “We have our own shop here where we fabricate rectangular metal insulated duct,” Randy says. “We measure each job individually and measure the ductwork on a job to make sure it's sized properly.” 

In 2006, Randy and Anthony were approached by the Trane Corporation to become one of their dealers. Today, the name Trane is almost synonymous with Integrity Air. “We have a strong relationship with them. Trane has been a very good company to work with,” Randy says.

But the brand name on the unit is irrelevant, Randy says. It’s all about air flow. “I don't care what kind of equipment you sit on the ground, that doesn't matter if you don't have the proper air flow,” he says. 

To anyone who has suffered through a scorching Alabama summer, air conditioning is a must. However, Randy says price often wins over comfort when purchasing a unit.

“Some people go for the bottom price. They don’t understand that once that unit is installed, it becomes your comfort level in the home,” Randy says. “If it’s oversized, you’ll be watching TV at night and sweating. If it’s undersized, the system will never shut off. I want you to be comfortable.”

Another reason for Randy’s strong belief in having integrity is his faith. He and his wife, Beckie, are active members at Williams Chapel United Methodist Church, where Randy occasionally leads worship singing.

Regardless of whether Integrity Air is servicing your existing unit or installing a new one, Randy wants you to remember one thing: “We stand behind it.”
