Haley Creel is an all-of-the-above-type woman, a modern embodiment of the “radiant wife of nobility” described in Proverbs 31:10-31. She is a wife, mother, visionary, and entrepreneur. Now married to her high school sweetheart and local minister, Britton Creel, she's a mother to five children, four of whom are adopted from the foster care system. She is an emerging leader in many facets of the business world. In 2021, she and her husband launched The Willow Project, a nonreligious nonprofit based in Walker County that offers various forms of the arts and education to underprivileged children at a discounted rate. She launched her own kids' clothing company called Timber Stitch USA in the Spring of 2021.

In addition to these responsibilities, Haley is the minority partner of Top Choice Roofing, LLC., a growing roofing company that is improving homes and property values in Cullman, Walker, and surrounding counties. She believes God has graced her to be in the marketplace.

"From experience, I know mothers and female leaders can serve their homes and communities without losing themselves in the process," Haley says. "Many times, women feel the need to prove their worth by either being stay-at-home moms or career women, but I have found, through grace, a healthy way to intertwine both worlds. We can absolutely make a house a home, raise our children, and love our husbands successfully while thriving in business."

Haley and her business partner, Kristen Folds, formed Top Choice Roofing LLC. in late 2020. Prior to launching the business, Haley spent almost three years working with another local roofing company. She immersed herself in the roofing industry, dedicating time and energy to learning the ins and outs, building strong friendships with local suppliers, and consulting with established contractors. She has worked hard to establish her name in a male-dominated industry.

"Obviously, the roofing industry is a male-dominated industry, not because of a negative male dominance, but an absence of females," says Haley. "I have been challenged to prove my knowledge and experience, which I enjoy and expected when diving into this industry. I am thankful for every opportunity I've been given and look forward to helping other women who feel called to the business world."

Although it is an essential element of a home, business, or place of worship, the roof is often overlooked until there is a problem, such as a water leak causing the paint of an interior wall to bubble or damage from a severe weather event. It's also not uncommon for homeowners or business owners to allow 20 years to pass since their last roof inspection. Top Choice Roofing emphasizes customer education and service, quality workmanship, business integrity, and efficient roof installation. The Cullman-based business desires each client to receive the best possible roof in their budget.

Because of Haley's devotion to excellence, Top Choice Roofing has seen revenue steadily increase over the two years. Her vision for the rest of the year is to expand and diversify Top Choice's reach in the overall construction industry. "We're working to acquire some more licensing that will enable us to do multiple trades besides simply roofing," she says.

Ultimately, this all-of-the-above-type woman wants to protect all the below through this roofing business—including your family. 78
