Longtime educator and pastor Greg Tinker will lead a six-week workshop designed to help men cope with and recover from divorce. Entitled “I Can’t Believe it Happened to Me,” the workshop will be hosted by 413, a local company that promotes discipleship and growth in men.

Tinker says the program is not merely limited to men who are recently divorced, but rather is open to men who have been impacted by divorce in any way and at any time.

The workshop, which begins October 11, will be taught from a biblical perspective, but will also include practical tools to help men navigate their circumstances more successfully. “In life, unexpected and unanticipated things happen. Divorce is one of those things,” Tinker said. “The loss of a marriage, and the alteration of family life that often accompanies it, is an exceedingly difficult thing to navigate, but it can be done successfully with the right support and proper biblical guidance. Join us as we make the journey towards restoration and wholeness.”

Registrants may attend in person or via Zoom. The in-person meeting will be held each Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Tex Ergle Learning Center (Adult Annex Building) at First United Methodist Church in Jasper.
