Since 1966, Carl Cannon Chevrolet Buick GMC has served Walker County and surrounding areas with a standard of excellence. As our world has continued to change in the 57 years the trusted dealership has been in business, there has been a demand for companies to change, too. Mason Anderson is carrying on the dealership's legacy while navigating the ever-changing digital landscape.

Mason was born in Auburn but raised in Nauvoo. In his pre-teen years, his family moved to Jasper. Mason transferred into the Jasper City School System, where he remained until his high school graduation in 2015. From there, he pursued his education in Chemical Engineering at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville before returning to the Plains of Auburn. From Auburn, Mason went on to live in Birmingham, which is where his story shifts.

He took on the role of salesperson at Serra Chevrolet and quickly found his niche. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in helping people fostered a natural talent for understanding customers' needs and guiding them toward the perfect vehicle.

But, as the saying goes, you can't take the boy from his home.

Through many pulls, not the least of which is his relationship with his girlfriend, Katie, Mason found his way back to Jasper and went to work for one of Walker County's most well-known institutions – Carl Cannon.

There, Mason is a salesperson and the (unofficial) technology expert. Part of his responsibility is to ensure that with the continually changing technology in the automotive world, all sales employees are in the know and can talk about it to the customers.

"The biggest thing that I like about Carl Cannon is the transparency and how we treat our customers," Mason says. "I have honestly never been around a dealership or an automotive group that gives so many concessions to the customers."

Carl Cannon stands out from others in the world of automotive dealerships because they intend to stay in the community where their roots are planted. The dealership's strong presence and involvement in the Walker County community is a testament to their commitment and dedication to the people they serve.

Much like Carl Cannon isn't going anywhere, Mason Anderson plans to stick around, too.

"I would like to be in as big of a role as possible to help Carl Cannon in the long run," he says.

His dedication to Carl Cannon Chevrolet Buick GMC and his commitment to navigating the changing digital landscape ensure the dealership's continued excellence and strong presence in the Walker County community. 78
