Nowadays, confidence in America’s supply chain is at an all-time low. But don't worry—the industry's future looks bright as Cody Gilbert enters the logistics arena.

Cody was born in Jasper and went to Curry all his life until he graduated in 2019.

While at Curry High School, he became State Secretary for the Anchor club. He moved on to Bevill State Community College and became the Vice President for Campus Activities, then the President of the SGA before getting his associate degree in 2021.

Now Cody is a student at The University of Alabama. His major is Operation Management, and his minor is Supply Chain Management. Cody also is the President of the Society of Operation Management students. He is expected to graduate this May.

"In operation management, we do statistics, logistics, Excel production planning, IT, and security," Cody said. "Supply chain management is the minor I picked up because that industry has been in my family since I was little. We figure out the flaws to find the most efficient way to get everything from one place to the other."

With supply chain in Cody’s hands, there is no doubt things will get better. 78
