Brothers Scott and Jeff Barker have been deeply involved in their family business, Creative Aluminum Products, from a young age. Their father, Charles Barker, instilled in them a strong work ethic and a passion for the trade. As children, Scott and Jeff would often accompany their father on job estimates, gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge.
Established in 1966, Creative Aluminum Products has a rich history spanning over five decades and handles many projects related to home improvement, including the installation and repair of windows, seamless gutters, garage doors, sunrooms, screened-in rooms, aluminum patio covers and carports, as well as commercial storefront and glass.
The company initially operated from home and later moved to a location beside Benson's Automotive. Eventually, they settled into their current address on Curry Highway in Jasper, where they have successfully served their customers for the past 25 years.
After completing their education, Scott and Jeff made the decision to continue working in the family business. They started their careers by managing crews, overseeing various projects and ensuring the smooth execution of each task. This went on for approximately two decades until their father retired. Today, the brothers are at the helm of Creative Aluminum Products, with Jeff taking charge of the crews and Scott handling sales and estimates.
"As a family business, we are driven by serving others. We understand that what we build and install not only serves a practical purpose but also enhances the everyday lives of our customers," Scott says.
While Creative Aluminum Products has expanded its operations and now serves customers across the state, its primary focus remains on Walker, Winston, Jefferson, and Tuscaloosa counties. Scott and Jeff understand the importance of fostering positive relationships with their clients, many of whom have been loyal to the company for years, a testament to the brothers' dedication to providing exceptional service.
"We try to maintain a good relationship with our customers, and we want them to be able to refer us to other people. That's how we approach things, and it's helped us maintain a good reputation," Scott says.
By maintaining a strong rapport with clients, Creative Aluminum Products has not only retained its existing customers but has also gained valuable referrals. The brothers take pride in their ability to deliver quality work and ensure that customers are pleased with the results.
