Jay Barrett has an impressive list of noteworthy accomplishments tied to his name. He is a proud husband, father, successful entrepreneur, and sought-after real estate agent.

As a child, Jay was fascinated with the design and construction of homes. He often built elaborate structures from Lincoln Logs and spent his time drawing houses, dreaming of one day becoming an architect.

As he matured, these dreams shifted towards a career in real estate. After securing his real estate license at just nineteen years old, Jay began selling homes in his hometown of Greenwood, Mississippi, with great success.

After many years in real estate, Jay moved to Boston, Massachusetts, and attended Northeastern University. After graduation, Jay worked in the financial services industry, focusing on 401k and pension plan relationship management. In 2008, Jay invested in his first Fetch! Pet Care franchise. Over the next 18 years, he and his team grew the franchise holding company to one of the largest pet care service companies in the United States, serving the Washington, D.C., and Birmingham, Alabama markets.

After many years of buying and flipping houses, Jay decided to get his Alabama real estate license and join RealtySouth.
