When Anitra Pearson first picked up a camera in 2010, content creation was uncharted territory. Social media, as we know it, didn't exist. YouTube was still a novelty, and Anitra was a college student balancing her studies with a newfound fascination.

"I had run across these girls on YouTube who did their makeup and beauty tutorials, and I was so fascinated by it. I just decided, I'm going to do that, too!'" she recalls.

Fueled by curiosity, Anitra jumped in, recording videos that quickly began to gain traction. What started as a fun distraction evolved into a calling, and eventually, a career.

As her audience grew, so did the scope of her content. Early on, she focused on makeup tutorials, but over time her videos began to include glimpses into her daily life. That shift allowed her to form deeper connections with viewers These days, her platform blends beauty, lifestyle, motherhood, and an authentic reflection of her multifaceted life.

“I never niched down the type of content I create because I didn't want to be in a box," she says. "I'm a multidimensional human being, so I think staying true to the beauty of authenticity means my content should also be multidimensional."

Her followers, many of whom have been with her since the beginning, are drawn to this realness. "They've stayed with me because I didn't niche down," she adds.

Over the years, Anitra’s definition of beauty has also evolved, broadening from surface aesthetics to something much deeper.

"My idea of beauty has changed so much since I started this journey," she reflects. "Back in 2010, it was all about bright and bold colors. Now, there's this trend of natural, neutral tones, and it's not just about what we put on our faces, it's about how we live. To me, beauty is authenticity, and I try to reflect that in everything I do. It's not just what you see; it's how you experience life."

Her motto, "Elevating the Everyday Experience," captures this mindset of finding beauty in the ordinary.

"It's about taking something simple an everyday task and making it something more," she explains. "Bringing luxury and beauty into those moments, like vacuuming the rug, doing laundry, or cooking supper. Romanticizing it, so to speak. It's more than just the superficial aesthetic; it's the fun and joy you find in it."

This grounded, thoughtful approach carries into her personal life as well.

"I hope my viewers know that there is beauty in everything," she says. "Even on days when we don't feel physically beautiful because everyone has those days there is still beauty. There's beauty in simply being, in existing."

For Anitra, the most beautiful moments often happen in the quiet simplicity of life at home with her husband, Colton, and their three children: Uriah, Ezra, and Anorah.

"On days when I feel physically run down and not so beautiful, my kids' smiles still exist, and those are the most beautiful things there are," she says.

Of course, balancing it all isn't easy. Like anyone in the public eye, Anitra faces the challenge of relinquishing control over how others perceive her. Over time, she has learned to accept that she can't control others' judgments, focusing instead on her mission to spread positivity. For her, every message from someone saying her videos brought them comfort or joy is a reminder that she’s doing something worthwhile.

Anitra's path proves that beauty is not just in how we look or what we show the world, it's in how we choose to live and share ourselves with others.

And in embracing the fullness of who she is, she invites others to do the same. 78
