78 Featured Athletes- Makenzie Abrams and Jack Ballard- Jasper High School

This week, we return to the land of the Vikings to honor two more outstanding student athletes. Let’s meet them!

Makenzie Abrams

Makenzie Abrams is a sophomore at Jasper Junior High. She plays basketball under Viking Coach Blake Laney and softball under Coach Brandi Hall. Makenzie has a 3.8 GPA and is active in HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America), Key Club, Ambassadors, theater, and MAC.

After graduation in 2024, she hopes to become a dental hygienist.

Makenzie’s parents are Glenessa Vanta Lashay Hall Henry, Paul Abrams, and Curtis Henry.

Jack Ballard

Viking senior Jack Ballard plays pitcher under baseball Coach Pat Ware. He has a 4.20 GPA, and his favorite subject is math.

Jack is a member of Key Club and National Honor Society. He plans to study mechanical engineering at The University of Alabama. He is the son of Curt and Christi Ballard.
