Artec Tractor & Equipment, Inc. is a hidden treasure in the heart of Nauvoo, Alabama. From new and used construction equipment to brand-new tractors and mowers, Artec provides quality goods not only to Alabamians but also to customers nationwide.

Artec provides a variety of brand-name tractors, including Bobcat, Massey Ferguson, and Mahindra, to name a few. They also have a dedicated mower store with one of the largest selections of zero turn mowers in the state.

Owner Greg Albritton has always been passionate about sales, specifically selling outdoor equipment. Greg began his sales career in the hunting, fishing and shooting sports industry. He feels that his experience in retail and wholesale distribution within that industry helped him when he started working at Artec Tractor & Equipment. But, at the time of his first introduction to Artec, Greg did not know the importance of the connections he would make.

"I bought my first tractor at Artec in 2003, that was five years before I started working there" Greg says.

Greg got to know the previous owners after becoming a customer of Artec and after a couple of years they started talking about opportunities and the possibility of him joining them.

"They knew I had a sales background, and I was looking to travel less than I had done for work,” he says. “I was starting to realize there was a great opportunity to move into the equipment business."

Artec has significantly expanded since Greg began working there in 2008. He took the reins in 2014 with a promotion to General Manager. At that time Artec only sold one brand of tractor and two mower brands, but Greg has spearheaded expansion by adding more lines. Artec also sells used construction equipment and recently became a full line Bobcat dealer which moved them into the new construction equipment realm.

The growth has been remarkable, but Greg admits he could not do this alone.

"If it weren't for the dedicated people that work here, we wouldn't be successful," Greg explains.

The team at Artec will go above and beyond to ensure each customer has what they need. Sales are not the prime focus; the company works to keep up with the customer post-purchase and ensure that their equipment works smoothly.

The great selection that Artec provides to the community allows locals to access the equipment they need while supporting the local economy.

With a solid commitment to the local community, Greg Albritton and the Artec Tractor & Equipment, Inc. team have built a business that provides quality equipment and fosters relationships and support for their customers. Their success is a testament to the importance of hard work and dedication in creating a true hidden gem in the heart of rural Alabama. 78
