"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

Falon Schulte is not originally from Jasper, but no place has ever felt more like home to her.

She moved to Jasper from Minersville, Pennsylvania, in 2012. She had previously visited Alabama and liked the slower pace of life it offered, so when an opportunity to move south presented itself, she seized it.

After a brief stint at a job that wasn't a good fit, Falon landed her current role at Metal Central, a company that specializes in metal roofing, siding, and building components. Although she had no experience in the metal industry, Falon was offered a position in retail sales, which turned out to be the perfect fit for her.

"Metal roofs weren't common in Pennsylvania, so I had no knowledge about them," she says. "But Metal Central felt like a place I could see myself working for a very long time, so I took the job, and it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me."

Falon loves her job and the connections she has made with the community. She enjoys helping people find the right materials for their projects and watching those projects come to life. Her relationships with contractors have turned into friendships, and she considers some of them her closest friends.

"At Metal Central, the focus is on building customer relationships rather than just making a sale. We care about our customers' businesses and want to help them succeed. It's not just about exchanging metal for money; it's about serving the community and making a difference," she says.

Through building those relationships with customers and contractors, Falon has forged strong connections with the community that have helped her excel in her job and feel a sense of belonging.

Outside of work, you can find Falon, her husband Scott, and their seven-year-old daughter, Kennedy, actively participating in service work through Desperation Church, another means by which she has been able to find a sense of community while also deepening her faith.

"God has been instrumental in every step of the way. From leading me to Jasper to meeting my husband to finding this job, He has guided every step of the journey," she says. "His goodness has created this life I love, and I couldn't be happier to call Jasper my home." 78
