Capstone Rural Health: Celebrating 20-YEARS of Serving Healthy Patients, Healthy Families, Healthy Communities

Capstone Rural Health is celebrating their 20-year Anniversary of providing people of all ages with the health care they need and the respect they deserve. As one of the Top 20% of Community Health Center Quality awardees in the nation, Capstone believes that quality, complete health care is for everyone.

Capstone Rural Health will host an anniversary celebration on Friday, December 10, 2021, with Capstone team members.

Since its inception in 2001, Capstone Rural Health has served over 40,000 individuals in Walker and Winston counties. What once began in an office trailer on Highway 269 in Parrish, with a goal to deliver family centered, quality primary health care to rural areas is now a six-location system of care. Capstone Rural Health has expanded access to affordable, quality, cost-effective primary care, pediatric, women’s health, men’s health, behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, and optometry services.

“Capstone has experienced exceptional growth over the past years. We are dedicated to helping individuals who do not know how to navigate a health care system,” said Dr. F. David Jones, Executive Director. “They may not be familiar with having insurance or have other barriers to care. To see them walk in the door at one of our locations and be amazed by how they are treated by professional staff who care about them; it is a blessing. We can’t fix it all, but we hope we are a friendly step in the process.”
