Quality Home Inspections

Following an extensive surgery in 2019, Blake Walton and his wife, Cindy, felt God was finally opening the door for him to begin pursuing his longtime interest in becoming a home inspector.

While recovering from the operation and unable to work, Blake began researching and studying, thereby beginning the process of becoming a licensed home inspector in the State of Alabama. After much learning, training, and testing, he finally earned his license and started his own business, Quality Home Inspections, in 2020.

Blake has lived in Walker County for most of his life. A graduate of Walker High School and Walker College, he now works with some of the same people he grew up with. Blake enjoys being able to serve people he has known most of his life, but also being able to stay close to home and own a local business. He and Cindy are very active in the community; while Blake runs QHI, Cindy is an educator at Jasper High School.

For Blake, his business is a matter of ensuring safety and peace of mind for new and experienced homebuyers. Simply, Quality Home Inspections is all about keeping homebuyers safe and aware. “My biggest reason for owning QHI is so homeowners can come to gain more knowledge of what they're buying,” he says.

Using an extensive program, Blake thoroughly checks each home from the roof down for any issues with structural integrity, appliances, and overall safety, enabling homebuyers to stay informed and equipped to make the best possible homebuying decision.

For homes 2,500 square feet or smaller, inspections take between three and four hours. Rates start at $395 for homes 2,500 square feet or smaller and increase with a home’s square footage.

Ensuring home safety to the Walker community is what Quality Home Inspections is all about. “It's nice to be able to stay in and stay home, so to speak, and work at home,” says Blake.

Quality Home Inspections operates locally, and Blake is happy to provide services to anyone in the Walker community and its surrounding areas. 78
