Bevill State Community College Announces Dual Enrollment Ambassador Program
Bevill State Community College is pleased to announce the launch of the BSCC Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador Program. Bevill State Community College considers all of its students instrumental in sharing the opportunities of BSCC Dual Enrollment with their peers and others. This formalized group of student ambassadors will be a critical part of telling the Bevill State Dual Enrollment story and sharing their student experience with other high school students. To learn more about the program or to apply visit www.bscc.edu/students/high-school-students/dual-enrollment-student-ambassador-program.
The application deadline is Friday, March 18, 2022.
Bevill State Dual Enrollment Student Ambassadors will serve as positive role models for new, current, and prospective students. They will be leaders on their high school campus who will support recruitment and enrollment for the college, promote student engagement, increase awareness of college services and programs, foster pride in the Bevill State community, and act as liaisons between the College and their current high school.
“As Bevill State’s dual enrollment continues to grow, this new initiative will benefit all high school students thinking about beginning their college studies early. The students selected for this Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador Program will assist their peers in understanding the benefits of dual enrollment and help them to navigate being a successful college student,” stated Dr. Joel Hagood, President of Bevill State Community College.
Dual Enrollment Student Ambassadors will develop a wide range of transferable skills that can benefit their academic and personal growth. Student Ambassadors can expect to enhance their leadership, communication, information technology, collaboration, problem-solving, and customer service skills, all the while establishing a strong work ethic. Student Ambassadors will also be able to earn community service hours that can be used to fulfill high school and scholarship requirements. A letter of recommendation from Bevill State will be made available to the participants upon request at the end of the year.
Bevill State Dual Enrollment Student Ambassadors will be eligible for an Ambassador Scholarship should they choose to attend Bevill State Community College. Each Bevill State campus will be adding one Ambassador scholarship designated specifically for students that are part of the Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador program.
