78: Light is a major contributor to the overall ambiance of a house. What are some important things to keep in mind when selecting lighting?

 RN: When choosing a light fixture for your home one of the first things we will go over are the three different types of lighting to see which one fits their need.

1. Ambient Lighting – which is the main source of light in the room, overhead light or recessed lighting.

2. Task Lighting – is made for a specific use, such as sconces or vanities. This light will have more direct lighting purposes.

3. Accent Lighting – is more decorative, if they need to highlight a feature wall, fireplace, or a special keepsake such as a piece passed down from generation to generation. 

 78: You have so many lighting options in your showroom. How do you help a customer choose which option is best?

RN: Part of my job is helping customers choose their perfect light and talking with them to find out their unique style. From there we will find the perfect fixture to complement their personality and pair it with their new project. 

78: What are the aspects of your business that make it unique or great? 

RN: We take every customer that walks into Showcase Lighting Floors & More personal!! We are not here to just sell a light. We want everyone to love their lights and enjoy walking into their space and feel like they are in their home, not in mine or someone else’s. Home is very important to us and your lighting is just like jewelry on a new outfit.
