78 Featured Athletes – Mia Harbison and William Short – Cordova High School
When you hear the term “Blue Devil Country,” a quality athletic program with some of the most dedicated fans in the county often comes to mind.
This week, we feature two student-athletes from Cordova High School, Mia Harbison and William Short.
Let’s meet these two outstanding individuals:
Mia Harbison
Cordova sophomore Mia Harbison is a two-sport athlete for the Blue Devils and has a perfect 4.0 in the classroom. She plays second base and shortstop for the softball team and is coached by Brandon Millican. She also plays right side for the volleyball team, under the leadership of coach Heather Williams.
Mia says, “In the future, I plan on attending college to get my nursing degree.”
She is the daughter of Ina and Richie Harbison.
William Short
After William Short graduates on May 27, he plans to go to college at NASCAR Technical Institute in North Carolina to study CNC machining.
William plays both football and golf for the Blue Devils and has a 3.8 G.P.A. He is coached in golf by Jake Howton and in football by Shane Smothers.
William is the son of Tiffany Sherer.
