Jeremy Thomas has always been drawn to people — their stories, their struggles, and the satisfaction that comes from helping someone move forward. That instinct is what ultimately led him toward a future in physical therapy,a field that combines both personal connection and practical care.

“I love talking to people and learning about them,” he says. “Seeing someone recover and knowing you helped with that really interests me.”

Now in his second year at Bevill State Community College, Jeremy plans to transfer to TheUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) to pursue a degree in kinesiology and eventually earn a doctorate in physical therapy.

Alongside school, Jeremy has maintained steady employment, working since the age of 15 —first at Chick-fil-A and now at Home Depot. Those experiences, he says, have shaped his work ethic while strengthening his patience, responsibility, and ability to navigate stressful situations while working with the public. In many ways, they have also sharpened the same interpersonal skills that continue to draw him toward healthcare.

Jeremy credits much of his career direction to his aunt Pam Lindsey, who encouraged him to consider the healthcare field after recognizing his strengths in communication and empathy.With the support of his family and close friends in the Jasper community, he continues pursuing his goals with determination.

Outside of school and work, Jeremy enjoys music and has spent time learning guitar, keyboard,and digital production. 78
