Two Senior standouts are making Blue Devil Country proud this year. As Dakota Kennedy and Cade Naramore finish their athletic and educational careers at Cordova High School, they are beginning to set their minds on future plans. But they’re not ready for that just yet. They are excelling at all phases of high school, including in the classroom and on the athletic fields.

Here’s a little more about them:

Dakota Kennedy

A two-sport athlete, Dakota is on the cheerleading team and plays outfield on the girls’ softball team. Dakota is coached by Brandon Millican in softball and Brandi Perryman in cheerleading.

She says her favorite subject is English and carries a 3.6 GPA in the classroom. After graduation in May 2022, Dakota plans to attend the University of Montevallo and get a degree in creative writing.

Her parents are Brandon and Christy Millican.

Cade Naramore

As a wide receiver and defensive back, Cade Naramore rarely gets a break when Coach Shane Smothers’ team takes the field on Friday nights. In the spring, you’ll catch Cade on another field—the baseball diamond—playing for coach Buster Howell.

After graduating in May 2022, Cade plans to go to college for nursing school. He is a good student in the classroom, carrying a 3.0 GPA, and says his favorite subject is math.

Cade is the son of Natalie Archibald and Eric Naramore.

Please congratulate Dakota and Cade for being our 78 Featured Athletes for the week of September 6! 78
