Chandler Brown sits inside Worship Life Jasper, the church where he attended ministry college and where he now serves as a senior leader. The church building also serves as the headquarters of Life Lawns and Landscaping, which is the reason Chandler is here today.

In 2017, when Chandler was a student at the church’s ministry college, Worship Life Jasper founders Wayne and Jennifer Lee approached him with an idea. “I want to start a lawn care company. You want to be in full-time ministry…but I know you need some money,” Wayne told him.

This idea became the springboard that launched Life Lawns and Landscaping.

Times were tough in the beginning, as Chandler relates. “It was me and Wayne cutting all of the yards that we had, which was only about two or three…maybe four or five if we got lucky,” he says.

After working for Wayne for a few years, Chandler became part owner of the business. Today, Wayne and Chandler split the load, managing and operating Life Lawns using their years of combined experience.

Initially Life Lawns offered only basic lawn care necessities. Since then, the business has flourished in its lawn care and landscaping abilities. Lawn maintenance, weed control, stone and patio work, irrigation, sod work, and drainage ditches are just a few services they can provide for your property, and there are even more ideas in the works for expanding the business. With the recent addition of a skid steer, Life Lawns now offers grade and gravel work, land clearing, and brush cutting.

A typical week is packed with many yards to maintain and around three landscaping jobs to complete. None of it would be possible without Life Lawns’ dedicated crew. “I just honor them. They do a great job,” Chandler says.

Perhaps the secret to Life Lawns and Landscaping’s success is the system of values which guide them in how they treat customers. “We want to operate with excellence, we want to operate with honesty, we want to operate with consistency,” Chandler explains. “I want customers to be excited and satisfied when we get done with a job.”

With this mind-set, Life Lawns and Landscaping will surely continue to bring life to every lawn they encounter. 78
