Suzanne Pugh Named Director of Business Development at Southeast Hospice

Southeast Hospice Network, a healthcare company providing hospice services to assist those needing end-of-life care, is pleased to announce the appointment of Suzanne Pugh as its Director of Business Development. In this role, Pugh will oversee and work alongside Southeast Hospice team members on business development initiatives for each of the company’s locations throughout Alabama.

“We are excited to be able to provide excellent hospice services in the state of Alabama, and we are proud to have Suzanne Pugh joining our executive team,” says Joette Brown, Vice President of Southeast Hospice. “Mrs. Pugh has extensive knowledge in the healthcare setting, and her passion of caring for others will be beneficial to the community and the patients we serve. We are blessed to have someone with her knowledge and experience.”

Pugh, a 1995 graduate of The University of Alabama, brings over 20 years of healthcare management and business development experience to the company. With a background in clinic and hospital settings, she most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Walker Baptist Medical Center (WBMC), a 267-bed acute care hospital located in Jasper, Alabama. During her time at WBMC, Pugh and her team led strategic initiatives to launch new service lines and programs while focusing on capital improvement projects and state-of-the-art equipment investments.

“Having experienced end-of-life circumstances in my family in recent years, I am so blessed to have the opportunity to serve in this role and with the incredible team at Southeast Hospice in providing comforting care, emotional, and spiritual support during such a challenging time in our lives,” Pugh says.

Southeast Hospice operates with a primary goal of ensuring that patients enjoy the highest possible quality of life while working toward eliminating pain, fear, and loneliness that often accompanies an end-of-life journey.

Southeast Hospice has three offices in the state of Alabama, serving Walker County, the Greater Birmingham area, and Montgomery County, along with the surrounding communities in those locations.
